Stéphane Peterhansel and Jean-Paul Cottret crossed the finish line in their new Mitsubishi Pajero Evolution on Sunday, having beaten the competition over 15 punishing days and across 9000kms of some of the planet's toughest and most inhospitable terrain.

It was a glorious Mitsubishi one-two, as defending champions Luc Alphand and Gilles Picard came in second in their Pajero, just seven minutes 26 seconds after their teammates. Mitsubishi controlled the rally for the last six days through careful team management, great professionalism from the drivers and superb car preparation.
