Official entry to the Muster site will be available from 3pm on Thursday 5th April.

The site must be vacated by 2pm on Monday 9th April.

There will be no organised activities outside of the Muster timeframe and given that Easter is in the middle of the school holidays, if you do come earlier or stay later you will have to amuse yourselves.

3

How much does it cost and what do I get for it?

There is a vehicle registration fee of $25 (NON-REFUNDABLE).

Camping fees are $5 per adult per night.  The standard fee for the Muster will be $15 – Fri, Sat and Sunday nights for an adult, $30 a couple.   If you want to come for one or two nights of the Muster, it will be $5 per adult per night.

If you want to come earlier or stay later you will need to pay the Tolmie Recreation Reserve directly – honesty envelopes will be available.    The rate is $5 per person per night, as we have negotiated but payable directly to them.   Full facilities will be available.

Access, campsite, showers, toilets, wood for fires, rubbish collection, activities

5

Where is Tolmie ?

Tolmie is a small rural town in north-eastern Victoria, Australia.   It is located 22 kilometres north-east of Mansfield. At the 2006 census, Tolmie had a population of 578.   It is 160km or 2hrs 20 mins from Yarra Glen.

The Post Office opened on 1 February 1877 as Wombat, was renamed Tolmie in 1879, and closed in 1971 .

Tolmie holds an annual community event, known as Tolmie Sports, in February each year and this is held at the recreation reserve.  They have around 2500 people attending this event so the facilities for the Muster are more than adequate.

Much of the heavily forested countryside surrounding Tolmie was devastated by bushfires in 2006/07.
